We now offer an Exclusive Private Wildlife Tour/Float Trip Package
Many of our guest prefer not to simply be one of a number of people on a wildlife tour, or a scenic float, but rather want their tour to be exclusively for themselves and their guests. A private tour is always going to be a much more personal experienced, designed around what you are interested in, not designed with the numbers as the requisite for offering the tour.
This package combines a wildlife tour, which lasts three to three and a half hours. It starts in the early morning hours when the wildlife are generally most active. We combine this with the enjoyment of a private scenic/photographic float trip on the historic "Mad River", commonly known as the SNAKE. It's history is legend from the days of the Mountain men and the trapping era to the legendary "One Fly Contest" of modern day fishing lore. The float and the wildlife tour take roughly five to six hours, and are private tours which include only the person booking the package, and the guests he or she requests. No add-ons are ever included on one of these packages, unless it is at the guest's request.

Don Wackerman's Jackson Hole Outdoors Fishing/Scenic Floats

The YGT wildlife tour segment of the package would be done in a vehicle similar to the one above.
You can turn the float trip segment into into a fishing float with prior arrangements, and at an additional cost for the float segment of the package. The boats used can accommodate up to three guests per boat plus your guide. This is roughly a three hour scenic/photographic float on the Snake River in scenic Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Obviously more than one boat would be available if necessary for more than three guests. Again let me reiterate that these are private floats with no add-ons whatsoever.
Your head guide on the river, Don Wackerman, was born and raised in Jackson Hole, and is one of the most experienced guides in the valley. He has guided on the Snake River for decades, escorting celebrities, Industry professionals, sports legends, and just "plain ol fishermen and fisherwomen" who simply enjoy the out of doors, and a relaxing day on the water. Don's knowledge of the area, his laid back attitude, and quick wit, coupled with his contagious sense of humor and outgoing personality are the qualities which help create an experience that memories are made of. A day on the river with Don, and possibly one of his guides, will be a day you'll remember always.
Either "Cowboy" Bob or Sherrie Stevenson will be your guides for the early morning wildlife tours, taking you into the areas most generally frequentled by moose, elk, bison, antelope, deer, eagles, osprey, and the occasional otter, beaver, bear or wolf. Bob has lived in Wyoming for the last 33 years, and has guided for the last 18 years. Sherrie has been here in Jackson for roughly seven years, however she was raised and has lived in the Rocky Mountains for almost her entire life. Sherrie, who is part Native American Sioux offers a tour from the prospective of the Native American.
During our tours we try to get our guests in a position to be able to easily view and photograph the wildlife whenever possible. At the conclusion of the wildlife tour we will meet you river guide so you can continue your adventure on the Snake River.
The cost of the package tour would be $500 for up to four guests, with an additional $25 per person over the four person minimum. This packsage also includes float trip segment for up to three people per boat. An addt'l $250 would be required for the float trip portion if an additional boat was to be required. The wildlife tour can accommodate up to six guests in one of our seven passenger SUVs (Chevrolet Suburbans or Yukon XLs), or seven with smaller women or children.
A credit card is required to hold a reservation. It is used only to guarantee the reservation. If a credit card is used for the final payment a 4% credit card processing fee is added to the cost of the tour, as well as the 6% state sales tax. Obviously if you were to book the tour direct no commission fee would be added for resort concierge services.
